I’ll be heading down to sunny Kissimmee, FL in a few weeks to attend the Securities and Insurance Licensing Association’s (SILA) 17th National Education Conference. The October 14 through 18 conference features learning sessions on Renewals and Terminations, Broker/Dealer Fundamentals, Background Investigations, Mergers and Acquisitions and more. Heavy stuff.

I was invited by Interstate Background Research (IBR Inc.) to do a little networking. We have a couple mutual clients, including WellCare and UAFC for which IdeaStar is doing online agent appointment systems. Maybe we can drum up some more complimentary business.

But I’m also looking forward to a bit of learning. This should be a really educational conference. They bring in state and federal regulators which are responsible for the licensing laws. I’m also looking to promote CHCS Services, a leading third party administrator specializing in senior market insurance products and comprehensive Medicare Advantage programs.

I’m looking forward to meeting some of Interstate’s other clients. And maybe I’ll see you there.
